V.V. Brown is a Black British singer known for her voluptuous voice. Her debut 2009 album proved to be a hit with critics and mainstream British music listeners.

She quickly returned to the studio to start production on her second studio album in 2011. She titled the album Lollipops and Politics and released the album's first single at the beginning of 2012. The album was slated for a February 9th release date, but it was pushed back to June for unknown reasons.[1] After another push to the beginning of 2013, Brown stated in November of 2012 on her Twitter account that the album wasn't going to be released at all.

On September 12th, 2015, however, an anonymous fan uploaded the album in its entirety for free streaming and downloading to the public.

On December 31st, 2020, VV Brown posted a Kickstarter for the 10th anniversary her album, "Traveling Like the Light". One of the awards for the Kickstarter includes a never-before-released CD of the album or a 12in. vinyl with exclusive tracks. This will be the album's only release as she does not intend to release it on streaming platforms.
