Status: Partially Lost

Gamsonite was a Tumblr blog created and operated by London musician A. G. Cook[1] from 2012 to 2013. The blog was dedicated to releasing music made by him and his friends, as well as other media such as photography and web design. It also occasionally promoted live events that Gamsonite artists were to appear at. The label is notable as it formed the early foundations for what would later become PC Music, a highly influential online label that played a central role in the development of the Bubblegum Bass and Hyperpop genres (so much so that music within these genres is often referred to as "PC Music" as a musical genericised trademark), with the label even going on to release music featuring superstar pop musician Carly Rae Jepsen[2].

Gamsonite released early music from artists such as A. G. Cook, GFOTY, Danny L Harle and even occasionally Kero Kero Bonito, as well as photography work by Hannah Diamond. Though much of this archive has been removed, a significant amount of missing Gamsonite content has since resurfaced or been recovered through other means online.

Lil Gash and Patricia Edwards Melee both had individual Tumblr blogs[7][8] that have since been deleted. There exists only one screencap of Lil Gash's blog[9]. Patricia Edwards Melee's blog has not been archived anywhere. There also existed a separate blog dedicated to promoting Lil Gash' 'King of Fiji vol. 1' mixtape[10], though this also has been lost to time. These both could have possibly been the same blogs, just under different usernames at different points in time.
